“Bro, I’m about to blow up.”
You hear the confidence. You hear the ambition. You hear the future superstar standing right in front of you.
There’s just one small problem.
He has 73 unreleased songs sitting on his hard drive. 😂
The collection keeps growing
It starts innocently enough.
You record one song.
Then another.
Then you make a better one.
So naturally, the first one can’t be released anymore.
Then you record another track that is “definitely the one.”
A week later, you make something even better.
And suddenly your computer contains enough unreleased music for a seven-album career.
But somehow… nothing gets released.

“I want to shoot a video.”
“I’m working on the rollout.”
“I need to get the cover done.”
“I’m going to drop it next Friday.”
Next Friday arrives.
Nothing.
Then another Friday.
Still nothing.
At some point, the song becomes so old that the rapper has completely forgotten what microphone he used to record it.
The producer’s hard drive knows the truth
Producers see this from the other side.
You send a beat to an artist.
They love it.
“BROOO THIS IS CRAZY. I’M RECORDING THIS TONIGHT.”
You get excited.
A few days pass.
Then a few weeks.
You check your messages.
Nothing.
Six months later, you’re organizing your hard drive and discover the beat.
The rapper never recorded it.
Meanwhile, he has probably created 19 more songs.
None of them have been released either.
The fear of releasing
The funny thing is that sometimes the problem isn’t lack of creativity.
It’s actually the opposite.
There are too many songs.

So you keep recording.

There will always be another beat.

The important thing is that people actually get a chance to hear it.
Because a song with 500 plays is still more alive than a masterpiece that nobody has ever heard.

Don’t ask how many songs he’s made.
Ask how many he’s released.
If the answer is:
“73… but they’re all unreleased.”
You already know what’s happening.
The talent is there.
The beats are there.
The lyrics are there.
The hard drive is absolutely packed.
